<statement>La CVC, a través de organizaciones idóneas, viene adelantando estudios técnicos confiables que identifiquen las condiciones naturales que generan los posibles fenómenos peligrosos por la comunidad, y, en segundo lugar, las características intrínsecas de la población que se convierten en vulnerabilidad ante los diversos peligros naturales a los que se encuentran expuestos, para definir los posibles niveles de afectación que pueda sufrir.
En términos de gestión del riesgo la CVC comenzó su labor con los estudios de zonificación de amenazas en los municipios de Florida y Pradera luego de las avenidas torrenciales, ocurridas en los años 90. Este estudio realizado en convenio entre CVC – INGEOMINAS en el año de 1998 a escala 1:50.000 se enfoco en el calculo de Amenaza por movimiento en masa y susceptibilidad por movimiento en masa. También se realizo el estudio de susceptibilidad por avenida torrencial a escala 1:10.000 dentro del mismo convenio.
En el año 2010 por medio del proyecto MIDAS, se realizaron estudios para la zona urbana y de expansión de los municipios de Buga, El Cairo, Dagua, Riofrio y La Unión. Estos estudios se realizaron a través de un convenio entre CVC – Univalle, obteniendo como productos finales a escala 1:5.000 estudio de Amenaza por Inundación y Avenidas Torrenciales, además de estudios por escenarios de afectación en inundación, Avenidas Torrenciales y Movimiento en masa y también estudios de Vulnerabilidad en los mismos fenómenos naturales mencionados.
En el año 2017 se realizan en convenio CVC – Univalle los estudios para la zona urbana y de expansión de los municipios de Versalles, Roldanillo y Bolívar, obteniendo como productos finales a escala 1:2.000 estudio de Amenaza por Inundación y Movimiento en masa, además de estudios por escenarios de afectación en inundación y Movimiento en masa y también estudios de Vulnerabilidad en los mismos fenómenos naturales mencionados.
En el año 2018 se realizan en convenio CVC – Univalle los estudios para la zona urbana y de expansión de los municipios de El Dovio, Obando, Pradera, Toro, Ulloa y Zarzal, obteniendo como productos finales a escala 1:2.000 estudio de Amenaza por Inundación, Avenida torrencial y Movimiento en masa, además de estudios por escenarios de afectación en inundación y Movimiento en masa y también estudios de Vulnerabilidad en Inundación, Avenida torrencial y Movimiento en masa.
En el año 2019 se realizan en convenio CVC – Univalle los estudios para la zona urbana y de expansión de los municipios de El Águila y Ansermanuevo, obteniendo como productos finales a escala 1:2.000 estudio de Amenaza por Inundación y Movimiento en masa, además de estudios por escenarios de afectación en inundación y Movimiento en masa y también estudios de Vulnerabilidad en los mismos fenómenos naturales mencionados.
En el año 2020 se realizan en convenio CVC – Univalle los estudios para la zona urbana y de expansión de los municipios de Sevilla y Trujillo, obteniendo como productos finales a escala 1:2.000 estudio de Amenaza por Inundación, Avenida Torrencial y Movimiento en masa, además de estudios por escenarios de afectación en inundación, Avenida Torrencial y Movimiento en masa y también estudios de Vulnerabilidad en los mismos fenómenos naturales mencionados.
El conjunto de datos correspondiente al nivel de amenaza por avenidas torrenciales, con período de retorno de 10, 30 y 100 años para los diseños de los drenajes urbanos, de grandes obras de infraestructura vial y de cultivos, los objetos se representaron a partir de información básica a escala 1:5.000.
